Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Her most well-known character is Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago the theatre before moving to television and film. Anna had her first big role as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. In addition, she was on Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. In fact, it wasn't until the late 1990s when she was cast in a role in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood was another film she starred in. Gunn has also appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four part audio podcast set in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the marriage he shares with Skyler can be seen in the television show.
